Sweet Home Alabama Chords & Guitar Lesson

This is my Sweet Home Alabama chord chart by Lynard Skynyrd. Now this is going to be the SUPER EASY version. Not the version with all the cool riffs and licks in it. I do who you some riffs in the video lesson below.

With this version, you can at least play along and have fun until you develop your skills enough to graduate more advanced lead guitar playing.

Sweet Home Alabama only uses three chords for the entire song: C, G and D. This makes this song super easy to memorize and play along with.

There is once verse where an F chord is played once. If you know how to play and F chord go for it. If you don’t, no worries. Stick with the regular chord progression.

Let's take a look at a couple strumming patterns be can use. Notice that the D chord and C chord split a measure meaning each chord is two beats, while the G chord is play for a full measure.
