Welcome to my Yellow Submarine chord and guitar lesson by The Beatles. If you know anything about me, you should know that I LOVE The Beatles. My mom was a big fan and I think it rubbed off on me.
This song is great for beginner. We are only working with open chords which helps. I should note that the guitar will need to be tune down a half step to sound like the recording. (Eb - Ab - Db -Gb - Bb - Eb)

There are couple strumming options and I think it’s important to understand that most chords are splitting a measure with a down strum on the 1 beat and then a down strum on the 4 beat as shown below.

This pattern then gives way to a Down Up Down Up pattern with a little bit of a swing feel to it.

If you would like something with a little more depth, you could try an accented rhythm on the chorus to add some great dynamics for playing solo.
